The Plough Inn

Lovely suite with fab staff - great location for a short getaway to the Norfolk coast. Felt like our home from home for the night. Room was done up to an impeccable standard.

Location was perfect to access Norwich directly by car or via the airport park and ride and seaside resorts being only 12 miles from Cromer. Food was really lovely and lots of choice and daily special dishes which are all very reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and a credit to the Plough and could not do enough to help. This was very comfortable room, great shower room and facilities and which came with breakfast for two which we thought was very good value for money.

Great location, lots to do near by. The Plough is beautifully decorated and has a very welcoming feel to it. Our room was recently refurbished to a high standard and the shower was superb! We ate here both nights of our stay and breakfast was included too, the food was outstanding with a fantastic selection to choose from, highly recommend trying everything!

We stayed at The Plough Inn, booking the junior suite and the superior king room, and what an amazing experience it was from start to finish. The inn is spotless, stylish, and so comfortable — the beds were honestly some of the best we’ve ever slept in. In the evening we dined downstairs. Thankfully, we had booked ahead as the restaurant was buzzing and very busy. We all ordered the fish and chips, which were simply delicious. The batter was light and crispy, the fish perfectly cooked, and the minty mushy peas were an unexpected highlight. The location was perfect for exploring the local area — we spent the day in Cromer — and then returned for a relaxing evening. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional, truly the best we’ve ever had. Dad and I enjoyed a hearty full English, while Mum was delighted with her eggs Benedict. Every flavour was so fresh and well-balanced: the rich eggs, the sweet yet smoky bacon, the creamy butter melting into the toast — all absolutely outstanding. It may sound unusual to single out something as simple as toast, but every detail here was spot-on. The bathrooms were beautifully appointed, the staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, and everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We loved every moment and will definitely be back.

We stayed in a junior suite which was great value for money. The bed was a super king size and very comfy, the tv was a full smart tv so you could access a lot more than the usual channels, we had access to Netflix when we stayed (not sure if one of previous visitors had left their Netflix account signed in?) The bathroom was a good size and fitted with quality suite. We read some reviews about the road noise, but this wasn't an issue when the windows were closed and there was a large standard fan to keep us cool in the room. Food at the Plough was very good and reasonably priced, but would recommend pre booking a table, we stayed on a Wednesday and the restaurant was very busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful thankyou we loved our stay
